The KM Colour Run takes place at Betteshanger Park near Deal on Sunday, June 9.

Participants will complete a 5km route while being covered head to toe in multicoloured powder.

They can take part for whatever charities they choose, and the money raised will be split 70-30 between their good causes and the KM Charity Team’s children’s road-safety services.

Event coordinator Dominic Comins said: “The KM Colour Run is a complete one-off, and a real must-do for any families looking to have a memorable day out together while raising money for a favourite charity.

“Everyone who takes part has the time of their lives, and it is one of the most popular events on the KM Charity Team’s fundraising calendar.

“So if you haven’t already booked your tickets, I would urge you to do so now before the event sells out.”

The challenge is supported by key partner Specsavers, and the entry fee is £20 for adults and £12 for children aged four to 16; children under four go free.

Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult runner, and there is a £5 discount when using the booking code KMNews19.

The price includes a limited edition KM Colour Run T-shirt, sunglasses, a small bag of coloured powder to throw over other participants, and a medal on completion.

Spectators can purchase additional bags of coloured powder on the day and join in the fun by throwing it over participants.

And there is still time for youngsters to enter a kmfm competition to find starters to get the Colour Run under way.

Two winners and their families will join the kmfm street team at the run’s starting line, and then man a colour station, from where they will throw coloured powder all over the runners.

To enter, children need to submit an inspirational message no more than 30 words long for those taking part in the event at the kmfm website. The competition is for under-18s and the deadline for entering is May 27.
