Temps embrace quiz drama

Temps from Office Angels are gearing up for a big job later this autumn: providing support services at the KM Big Charity Quiz.

They will be acting as runners at the wine and wisdom-style event on Friday, November 8, collecting the different teams’ answer sheets and making sure everything runs like clockwork.

The temps will have their work cut out for them on what is always a busy night, but it’s a case of the busier the better as far as Office Angels’ Lindsay Prescott is concerned.

She urged people to register teams quickly before the event sold out, adding: “We have supported the KM Big Quiz over 10 years, and it is an event we look forward to every year.

“With just over a month to go until this year’s Maidstone KM Big Quiz, there are still some tickets available, so buy them now and don’t miss out on attending a fabulous evening all arranged for great causes.”

Event coordinator Dominic Comins said: “Many thanks to Office Angels for providing essential support to guarantee the success of the quiz.

“The Maidstone heat is the last chance for teams to qualify for the county grand final, so I would join Lindsay in encouraging people to book their tables as soon as possible.”

Teams of up to eight people can take part in the quiz, which will raise money for Kent Messenger charity of the year Royal British Legion Industries, the KM Charity Team’s literacy and road safety services for schools across the county, and one charity to be chosen by free prize draw.

Contestants will be able to enjoy a drink or two at a fundraising bar stocked by Shepherd Neame, with all sales match-funded by Barclays Bank.

In addition, there will be substantial nibbles for everyone taking part, and each team will get a complimentary bottle of wine.

And there will be a raffle featuring Hornby collectables, and one random lucky participant will get the chance to win a top prize via the ‘Win in 10’ game.

The entry price is £65 per eight-person team, but there is a £10 discount when using the booking code KMNEWS19.
