HILLREED Homes, who is building an enclave of properties at Bluebell Wood at Penenden Heath, is offering buyers a “paid agents scheme” to help them move.
In essence, the company will pay the cost of client’s estate agents’ fees (up to a maximum of £2,000 including VAT).
Dean Markall, sales and marketing director, said: “Purchasing a new home can put a strain on finances in the initial stages and it is at this point of negotiations that we as a company can offer some financial assistance.”
The scheme works like this: once the clients have chosen their new home, they are asked to complete a reservation form and pay a refundable deposit of £300. Hillreed will then arrange, on their behalf, two valuations on their present property. Hillreed will suggest the best estate agent in the area to market the property at a pre-arranged value.
Working in conjunction with the client and with the purchaser’s approval, details are prepared and displayed by the chosen agent.
Hillreed keep in regular contact with the agent to ensure that a sale is secured as soon as possible.
Once an offer has been accepted, the company will then discuss with the buyer the next step which is to instruct a solicitor. A further £200 is required to make this a full reservation.
On completion of the sale, Hillreed will pay the estate agents fee up to a maximum of £2,000 including VAT.
If, for any reason, the buyer’s own property has not been sold within a six week period from reservation, Hillreed will decide if they are able to offer a part exchange plan. Should this not be possible Hillreed returns the £300 preliminary deposit in full.
