Promise of 100 new jobs at business park

A BUSINESS park in Maidstone which promises to provide up to 100 jobs has received the go ahead. The two-acre park, called Viewpoint, will be created in Boxley Road, overlooking the M20 and is set to be the first of its kind to come to the town in 10 years.

Teespin Developments, the commercial development company behind the project, wants to attract general industrial and light assembly businesses to Viewpoint.

Four units have already been earmarked for occupation and early indications show the scheme has attracted considerable interest within the business community.

After permission from Maidstone council's planning committee, the developers believe the project could be complete as early as next summer. Units vary in size from about 900 square feet to 5,500 square feet, a contrast which the developers believe will attract a wide variety of businesses.
