Dozens of children from projects funded by Children in Need joined the BBC Philharmonic in a rendition of You Will Be Found ahead of this year’s event.

Youngsters from UK projects such as the Young Urban Arts Foundation and Kids Cancer Charity performed the song from the musical Dear Evan Hansen in isolation.

In total, 34 children and two project workers from 17 schemes took part in the collaborative video effort, arranged by Daniel Whibley.

Those children are among more than half a million who have been supported by BBC Children in Need in the past 12 months.

Mental health issues and poverty are among the problems they have faced, with the coronavirus pandemic only making life more difficult.

The BBC’s annual appeal show will air on Friday November 13, with presenter Mel Giedroyc and comedian Chris Ramsey among the hosts.
