The Cow Shed has everything that you could possibly need for a great meal out.
Its venues in Birchington and Ospringe offer a rustic and homely environment, with delicious food and drink, and an attentive ‘at table’ service.
The family-run business has a culture of being part of a big team or ‘herd’, with personal development at the heart of it.
Its sites are open 365 days a year, offering free venue hire, and serving a coeliac (gluten free) friendly menu including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Known for its signature vibrant themed offerings, The Cow Shed hosts a range of events, such as bottomless brunches and live music performances.
At The Cow Shed in Birchington, themed bottomless brunches such as the Country & Cowboys and Mamma Mia are a big hit, offering guests a fun mix of themed dress-up, unlimited drinks and delicious grazing boards.
Events such as the High School Musical and 80s/90s/00s Nostalgia brunches also add a nostalgic twist. You can even create your own themed bottomless brunch event.
The Udder Bar chill zone, set in a beautifully crafted decked area, complete with its own bar, music and ambient lighting, offers alfresco dining in style and a comprehensive shisha service.
The Cow Shed at The Ship Inn Ospringe also offers a blend of lively experiences for all ages and tastes, including live music, a weekly speed quiz, karaoke nights, brunches and kids immersion films on the large screen. Additionally, it runs World Cocktail Week and interactive dining events such as Whines and Spirits, where guests enjoy a meal paired with a medium’s group reading.
Meanwhile, its Fire Pit Grill in the beer garden produces tasty sourdough pizzas and is available for kiddies themed pizza parties, where children can design and make their own pizzas.
The Cow Shed will also be hosting Christmas parties throughout the festive season and will be open for Christmas Day lunch, offering Christmas Fayre menu and a five-course Christmas Day menu, with a monthly payment option.
Both sites offer home delivery via Just Eat, UberEats or its own DeliverMoo service. Its Cow Shed on the Hoof is a pop-up kitchen, in collaboration with Margate FC, Whitstable and Thanet Wanderers RFC, Headcorn Aerodrome, Cairn Research, The Gate Inn Hoath, Country and Western Events, with more venues booked in the near future, including Birchington Traders Xmas Fayre.
The Cow Shed team has hosted multiple events over the years to support great local causes, raising more than £8,000. It also has a long-term partnership with Faversham Strike Force and supports Margate FC, including the RISE initiative, which helps homeless people in the town.
More recently, the team has supported the government-funded holiday activities and food program, by partnering with TSC and 10 local schools across Kent to provide more than 6,500 healthy two-course lunches for children. The initiative supports families during the school holidays, ensuring that children who receive free school meals during term time have access to free nutritious meals.
The Cow Shed is open from Monday to Friday between 10am and 11pm, Saturday from 9am to 11pm and Sunday between 9am and 5.30pm. It’s also dog friendly.
