A driver has been cut free from their car following a head-on crash on an A-road.

Police have closed A259 Dymchurch Road on Romney Marsh after a Renault Clio and Mercedes collided by the entrance to Marlie Holiday Park.

Fire crews say they extricated one person before passing them into the care of paramedics.

They were called to the scene just after 6.30pm.

The road, which is the main route between New Romney and Dymchurch, remains closed in both directions.
