Man found unconscious at A2070 close to Brenzett roundabout, Romney Marsh

A man in his 30s was found unconscious at the wheel of his car and rushed to hospital in a “life threatening condition”.

Part of the A2070 at the junction of Brenzett Green on the Romney Marsh was closed off by the police today.

The ambulance service was called and the man was resuscitated at the scene before he was rushed to hospital.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “A man was found unconscious in his vehicle.

“I don’t believe there were any other cars involved.

“We sent one ambulance car and an ambulance crew and the man needed to be rescusitated at the scene and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital - but he was still in a serious condition.”

A police press spokesman said: “There is not reported to have been a collision, however a road closure was enforced for the safety of medical crews and other motorists.

“This was lifted at 12.25pm.”
