Crews using breathing apparatus tackled the blaze at about 4.30p today, using a combination of high-pressure hoses and compressed air foam.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Further reports indicated that gas cylinders were involved in the fire, so precautions including a 200-metre cordon were established by Kent Police, while firefighters worked to extinguish the flames and make the scene safe."

There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire has not been established.

Crews left the scene at around 7.15pm.
