A number of migrants have been spotted arriving in Romney Marsh after crossing the channel.
Police confirmed they were called to The Parade in Greatstone at around 11am, following a report of suspected migrants on the beach.
Officers are present to assist the Border Force at the scene, and it is understood Folkestone and Dungeness Coastguard Rescue Teams attended alongside the ambulance service.
One eyewitness reported seeing as many as 11 migrants on Greatstone beach, however, the exact number has yet to be confirmed.
The Home Office have confirmed that numerous incidents are currently being dealt with, including 22 migrants having been intercepted in the channel, but did not provide exact details for this case.
There have been repeated cases over the last year of migrants trying to reach the UK on small vessels.
During 2019, up to July 22, there were 1,150 attempts by individuals to cross the Channel illegally.
About 725 people arrived in the UK and 425 were intercepted on the French side of the Channel.
The figures were given that day to the Home Affairs committee by the then Home Secretary Sajid Javid.
