A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a major A-road.

The fatal accident happened yesterday (April 12) at 3.50pm on the A259 in Brenzett, near Tickner’s Lane.

Emergency services were called after a blue Toyota SUV collided with a Honda motorbike travelling in the same direction towards Lydd.

Police, ambulances and air ambulance crews were at the scene and the road was closed in both directions.

A 37-year-old man suffered fatal injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information or dashcam video to come forward.
