The incident happened on Dungeness Road, close to the junction with Kerton Road.

An image sent to KentOnline by resident Dave Moore, who was parked in his motorhome nearby, shows the bus in the ditch on the side of the stretch with the front of the Argos van smashed.

A spokesman for Stagecoach said: "A route 511 bus heading towards Lydd-on-Sea was involved in an accident with a delivery vehicle on Dungeness Road shortly after 4pm on Thursday.

"Emergency services attended the scene but we understand there were no injuries reported."

The ambulance service says paramedics stood down shortly afterwards.

Speaking online, one witness said: “Everyone seemed OK, but the bus was loaded with passengers”.

Police also attended the scene.
