Police are looking for information after a man was assaulted in New Romney High Street on Romney Marsh.

Eyewitnesses reported police activity in the high street, and a spokesman confirmed that officers were called at 11.45am following reports of the assault.

The incident was also attended by the ambulance service, who treated the man at the scene.

Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.

No arrests have currently been made.

South East Coast Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
