Teenage boy taken to William Harvey Hospital after being hit by car at the junction of Dymchurch Road and Station Road, New Romney

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at the junction of Dymchurch Road and Station Road, New Romney at 8.40am today.

Traffic was queuing for around an hour earlier due to the incident but the road has now been cleared.

Paramedics confirmed they treated the boy at the scene before taking him to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for further medical treatment.

The boy’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
