A woman was taken to hospital after a two car crash.

Police were called just after 8.30pm to New Romney last night after a report of a collision between two cars on Dymchurch Road.

Officers attended the scene and a woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed while officers dealt with the incident. It was reopened after both vehicles were recovered.

SECAmb spokesman Rich Airey said: "I can confirm that we assessed and treated three patients at the scene, one of which was taken to William Harvey Hospital for further treatment."
