Boy George to open school's technology centre

POP star turned DJ Boy George will be bringing his flamboyant style to a Kent school next week.

Students at Sandwich Technology School will get the opportunity to fire questions at the colourful chameleon when he officially opens a new Creative Technology Centre on Friday, February 21.

Many will remember Boy George from his heyday as lead singer of the phenomenally successful group, Culture Club, who had hits like Do You Really Want To Hurt Me, It's A Miracle and Church Of The Poison Mind.

Recently he has re-invented himself as a highly successful composer and DJ. His autobiographical musical Taboo, currently on the West End stage, has confirmed him as one of the country's leading singer/songwriters and his DJ work all over the world has brought him a new, younger audience.
