House fire in Oliver's Mill, New Ash Green

Three fire engines were sent to a house blaze - where the flames were spreading through the property.

The crews were called to Oliver's Mill, New Ash Green, at 9.29am this morning.

Upon arrival they found flames had spread from the kitchen to the first floor of the property, damaging about one-third of the building.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used high-pressure hoses to bring the fire under control.

One person was given a precautionary check by paramedics for the effects of breathing in smoke. The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.

A stop time of 10.39am was recorded.
