The Range takes over former Homebase at Sevenoaks Retail Park

A home and garden superstore is set to open its doors this week.

The Range is launching inside the former Homebase unit at Sevenoaks Retail Park on Friday (April 18).

This follows the news in November that Homebase had gone into administration and The Range, run by retail tycoon Chris Dawson’s company CDS Superstores, was acquiring around 70 of its sites.

The Range is gradually converting some of these into stores with “Garden Centres by Homebase” inside, and the Sevenoaks site is among them.

Staff from the former Homebase have either stayed on at the location or been offered jobs at other stores.

To celebrate the opening, the first 50 customers in line will receive goody bags.

Additionally, the first five dogs brought into the store will also receive special treats, as the store is pet-friendly.

Other The Range locations in Kent include stores in Chatham, Sittingbourne, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Folkestone, Canterbury, and Broadstairs.

The new store will operate from 9am to 8pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
