Traffic held after crash on M25 between Sevenoaks and Godstone

There were delays of more than an hour on the M25 clockwise following a four-vehicle crash this morning.

Drivers were temporarily held on the motorway after the accident between Junction 5 (Sevenoaks) and Junction 6 (Godstone).

The crash is believed to have involved two vans and two cars.

There were queues of at least six miles and delays of up to an hour.

The congestion also affected traffic on the M26, which was experiencing similar delay times.

Motorists were being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and approach the area with caution.
