Man killed in crash on the A21 between Sevenoaks and Swanley named as Basildon man Simon Lindsay

A man was killed in an accident on the A21 near Sevenoaks has been named.

Simon Lindsay, 43, was driving a black Vauxhall Zafira that crashed on the north-bound carriageway between Sevenoaks and Swanley on May 9.

The collision, which happened at around 2.40am, closed the road for over six hours.

The 43-year-old, from Basildon in Essex, died following the incident.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The crash was originally thought to involve four vehicles, but officers have now confirmed just one was involved.

An inquest into Mr Lindsay's death opened at Gravesend Old Town Hall on May 18. It is due to reopen on August 25.
