One week left for Sevenoaks winner to claim Set For Life National Lottery prize

Additional reporting by Finn Macdiarmid

The winner of a National Lottery prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years has just one week left to claim their prize.

The ticket in the Set For Life draw was bought in Sevenoaks on October 24 last year.

The winner matched the numbers 2, 11, 29, 37, and 45, and Life Ball 6.

However, the prize must be claimed by Tuesday, April 22, otherwise the money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

KMTV reporter Finn Macdiarmid took to the streets of Sevenoaks to try and track down the mystery unclaimed ticket holder.

One woman, who doesn’t play the lottery, said if she had won the money, she would have used it to support her children and family.

Another man said: “I’d get a lovely little house, staying in the area, and give the rest to my daughter.”

One woman said she would “disappear from England” and travel the world with the money.

She added: “I’d go everywhere where the weather is hot.”

Another lady says she would use the prize to visit her family abroad in Australia and Canada.

People are being advised to check through coat pockets, scour through their vehicles, and look in unexpected places for the ticket.

Patrick Lisoire, spokeswoman for National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “People have kept tickets in dictionaries under ‘L’ for the lottery, and people have kept them under the front doormat so it won’t move.

“There are a million and one places; anything you can possibly think of has probably happened in terms of where people have kept their tickets safe.”
