Police alerted to a stolen vehicle managed to find it “within two minutes” in one of the fastest recoveries yet.
Officers had been called after a pick-up was pinched in Swanley.
And within two minutes, a neighbourhood task force patrol in Sevenoaks found itself following the stolen vehicle.
The suspects, aware they were being followed, “didn’t fancy a pursuit”, said police, and abandoned the vehicle.
It was then recovered and sent to a forensic team to try and track down the crooks.
Said a tweet from Sevenoaks police: “Within two minutes of this vehicle being reported stolen patrols got behind it. The suspects didn't fancy a pursuit and abandoned the vehicle.
“If you see a crime, report it as soon as you can, so we can act.”
