The driver, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene by ambulance crews.

The Suzuki was travelling toward the south-bound A21 just before 3.30pm on Friday, August 16 when it crashed.

Det Sgt Lynn Lewis of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "We are working hard to establish the full circumstances of this collision, which tragically led to both the deaths of a young woman and her unborn child.

"We believe there may be motorists who have important footage on their vehicle dash cams, who have yet to contact us. This could include those traveling in the opposite direction of the M25 and who may not have even noticed the collision. I would urge anyone who uses this route to double check any cameras they may have and to contact us if they can assist our investigation."

Anyone with information should call Kent Police on 01622 798538, quoting reference KH/JG/085/19. Alternatively email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk
