Emergency services called to A21 in Sevenoaks Weald after ‘multi-vehicle crash’

Two people have been injured after a crash, which is causing delays on a busy route.

Motorists are queuing for six miles on the A21 in Sevenoaks Weald, with police and fire crews at the scene.

The route is shut southbound near Morleys Roundabout and the A225.

A police spokesman said: “We were called at 7.07am today to a collision involving three vehicles on the southbound carriageway of the A21 shortly after the exit for Hildenborough.

“Officers and fire crews are currently at the scene where two people are reporting injuries that are not described as life-threatening.”

A National Highways spokesperson said on X: “The A21 southbound near Tonbridge is blocked due to a collision.

“Kent Police are on the scene, awaiting South East Coast Ambulance to arrive.

“There is no estimate yet for when traffic will be released.

“Please consider alternate routes. There is a 60-minute delay and six miles of congestion.”

It is understood that traffic is being diverted from the route on the Hildenborough exit.
