The family of twins found dead in Sevenoaks alerted police after discovering they had left a suicide note.
An inquest into the deaths of twins Joey and Billy Smith was opened today at County Hall in Maidstone.
Coroner Roger Hatch heard that the bodies of the brothers were found together hanged from a tree off Dibden Way on the morning of Saturday, December 28.
Both men were described as tree surgeons and had appeared in the Channel 4 TV show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.
Aged 32, they had been born in Lewisham. Joey Smith had been living in Julians Way, Sevenoaks with his wife Charmaine.
Billy Smith, who was single, was living at Overdeale, in Weald near Sevenoaks.
A post mortem was carried out by Dr Anna Rycroft, on Thursday, January 3, who gave the cause of death for both men as suspension.
The inquest was adjourned for a full hearing at later date, as yet unspecified.
Hundreds of people paid tribute to the brothers, including Paddy Doherty who starred on the reality show with them.
