Firefighters rescued a woman from the wreckage of her car yesterday afternoon.

Two engines were called to Marsh Green Road, Edenbridge, just before 4pm after reports a vehicle had left the road and smashed into a tree.

Crews used hydraulic equipment to release the driver before she was taken to the Tunbridge Wells hospital by road.

The woman was taken to hospital to treat potential leg injuries.

One ambulance and one car attended - crews were joined by the air ambulance at the scene for further help.

Emergency services left the scene just after 4.30pm.
