Chart Hills amateur Mark Collins through to final qualifying for The Open Championship

Chart Hill amateur Mark Collins was among the eight golfers who came through regional qualifying for The Open on Monday.

Collins finished in a four-way tie for fifth place at Wildernesse Golf Club in Sevenoaks after a level-par round of 72.

Richard Tinworth topped the leaderboard with a three-under 69.

He was followed by Michael Day (The London, 70), with amateurs Thomas Jordan (Langley Park) and Claudio Consul (Germany) joint-third on 71.

Andrew Butterfield (Knole Park), Javier San Felix (Spain) and Tom Sherreard (Chart Hills) joined Collins on 72.

They go through to final qualifying ahead of next month's Open at St Andrews.
