Armed patrols arrest man 'with weapon' in Noreen Avenue, Minster-on-Sea

Armed patrols descended on a Sheppey street this morning after reports a man was seen with a weapon.

Firearms officers were called to Noreen Avenue, Minster-on-Sea, at about 11.35am.

A spokesman said: "Officers attended with assistance from armed patrols and have arrested a man in connection with the incident.

"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing."

The matter is not connected to the "medical incident" at nearby Shingle Bank in Minster-on-Sea.
