At about 11.15am, a man got off a train and appeared to avoid going past the knife detector and purposely stay clear of the drugs dog.

Officers then went to an alleyway off nearby Beach Street where they seized almost 70 wraps, thought to be crack cocaine and heroin, two phones and about £1,200 in cash.

Following the find, a 28-year-old man from Sheerness was arrested later the same day on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class-A drugs.

He was bailed while an investigation continues.
