Bungling thief left limping

A BUNGLING thief who had robbed an elderly woman of her paperwork and filofax ended up empty-handed when he fell over, dropping all the items and injuring himself.

The 64-year-old woman had just left a church meeting and was walking to her car which was parked in a disabled bay outside the Baptist Church in Strode Crescent, Sheerness.

The woman was just about to open her car door when the man unched her in the arm and pushed her against railings before taking the items. He fell over and swore, before limping away.

The offender is described as being white, aged between 25 and 29 years old, 5ft 2ins tall, of a stocky build with brown hair and wearing light coloured trousers
