Part of a crossing was shut for the second time in 17 hours after concerns were raised for a woman’s welfare.
Officers blocked off the A249 Sheppey Crossing heading onto the Island at around just after 7am today (Thursday).
Police confirmed they were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman, who was later passed into the care of health professionals.

The bridge had reopened by 8.20am.
It comes after drivers faced rush-hour delays yesterday following a crash involving three cars on the Maidstone-bound carriageway.

The road was shut from around 4.30pm until 9.05pm for traffic heading to the mainland, but remained open to Sheppey-bound motorists.
