A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "I can confirm we have attended an incident in Invicta Road this morning following a call shortly after 9am. However, as it is on our log as a call to a private address we wouldn’t comment on the detail."

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 9.03am to a report that a man had been found deceased at an address in Invicta Road, Sheerness.

"The circumstances are not suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."

He said the next of kin had been informed.
