Female pedestrian hit by car

A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in a Kent town in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called to the incident, which took place in a car park in Delmark Road, Sheerness, at around 1.30am.

The area was cordoned off and a 45-year-old man from Leysdown has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The 33-year-old woman was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
