Spectacular sight as Yari LNG tanker sails past Sheerness

This giant tanker made a bit of splash when it sailed past Sheerness this morning.

The 294m-long Yari LNG was carrying liquefied natural gas from Zeebrugge to the Isle of Grain.

Residents along the seafront could see it under way assisted by four tugs from Sheerness.

The 103,885-tonne vessel is registered in Malta.

The tugs were the Svitzer Vidar, Svitzer Monarch, Svitzer Ganges and Switzer Intrepid.
