Kebab shop attackers sought

Police have turned to Times Guardian readers in an attempt to track three men involved in an attack on a kebab shop boss last month.

The owner of XXL Kebab House, in High Street Sheerness, suffered a head injury when a would-be robber swung a sock containing a billiard ball at him.

Three men went into the shop, threatened the owner and demanded he hand over cash.

When he refused one of the men hit him with the sock containing the billiard ball.

A male passer-by went in and grabbed one of the offenders who then ran out of the shop. The man then called police.

The 29-year-old shop owner was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with a gash to the top of his head.

Investigating officer Det Con Gemma Crouch said: “This was a particularly nasty incident and we are pursuing all lines of inquiry and appealing to the public.”

All the offenders are short white men. The first is aged between 28 and 32, skinny, with long dark-brown hair to his shoulders.

He was wearing a white top and light grey tracksuit bottoms.The second is aged between 20 and 24, stocky, with short dark brown hair.

The third is aged between 20 and 24, stocky, with shaved dark hair.
