Sheppey: Man arrested in Minster after helicopter search

A man has been arrested after a search involving a helicopter in the early hours.

Officers were called shortly before 3am following a report of a robbery in Broadway, Sheerness.

With the help of a police chopper, a vehicle was found and followed to the Nettle Way area in Minster.

A 21-year-old man, from Sheerness, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of robbery, drink driving and taking a vehicle without consent.

He remains in police custody and inquiries are continuing.
