Emergency services at incident causing delays on trains between Sittingbourne and Sheerness

Rail commuters faced delays and cancellations as emergency services were scrambled to help a man on the tracks.

British Transport Police were called to Queenborough station at 7.51am amid concerns for the man's welfare.

Commuters were told by operator Southeastern that services between Sittingbourne and Sheerness could be late or altered at short notice.

The man has been safely removed from the railway.

Ambulance crews were also in attendance.
