Air ambulance lands in Lapwing Close park, Minster, Sheppey, after ‘medical incident’

A person was flown to a major trauma centre after an air ambulance landed in a children's play park.

The helicopter arrived at the park in Lapwing Close in Minster, on Sheppey, yesterday (May 20) just after 1pm.

Paramedics from the ambulance service were also sent alongside an air ambulance team.

An air ambulance spokesperson said it had been called to a “medical incident”.

They added: “The patient [was transported] to a major trauma centre by air with our crew continuing to deliver their care en route.”
