A person has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A249.

The incident involved two vans and a car heading Sheppey-bound near the Bobbing turnoff at around 11.30am.

Paramedics were sent to the scene alongside fire crews and police.

Two people were treated for injuries.

One of them was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham for “further medical treatment”, an ambulance service spokeswoman says.

One lane is closed heading towards Sheppey.
