Crash closes Queenborough Road, Sheppey

One of Sheppey's main roads has been closed following a car crash.

Police, fire and ambulance crews are on the scene in Queenborough Road, Halfway.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at 10.09am on Monday to a collision reported to involve two vehicles in Queenborough Road, Minster.

"Officers are in attendance alongside Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb). At present, no serious injuries have been reported."

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that two fire engines had been sent to the incident and crews were helping to make the scene safe.

A spokesman for SECAmb said at 11.45am: "We’re still on scene with two ambulances following reports of a collision involving a car and a lorry. Two patients have been reported."
