Robbers threaten taxi driver

A TAXI driver was grabbed by two men and threatened after he had picked them up from a Kent railway station.

Police say the men asked to be taken from Sheerness station to St Helens Road in the town.

Police spokeswoman Sally Smith said: "It is thought that on arrival at their destination they grabbed the driver and threatened him. They demanded money and made off with more than £100 in cash. We are appealing for information."

The incident occurred between 10.5pm and 10.15pm on Sunday. Anyone with information which may assist the police investigation is asked to telephone Kent CrimeStoppers on 0800 555111.
