Problems on the Kingsferry Bridge fixed

Problems on a bridge led to trains not being able to run between Sheerness-on-Sea and Sittingbourne this morning.

Engineers were called to the Kingsferry Bridge over The Swale, after an issue meant no trains could run on the Sheerness line, but the problem has now been fixed, Southeastern said in a series of tweets.

The first trains to run on that route this morning will be at 8.15 and 8.25.
