Sheppey return to league action on Saturday and resume the scrap for points at the bottom of Kent 1.

Frank Davis’ side were without a game at the weekend after Junior Vase third round opponents Old Grammarians failed to put a side together.

This weekend Sheppey travel to Beccehamian and they remain confident after winning their previous fixture against HSBC.

It was their first Kent 1 win of the season and Davis is looking to build on it on Saturday.

"Confidence is quite high and we’ve been playing well," said Davis, whose side sit level on points with Erith at the bottom of the league.

"We were gutted that Saturday’s game was cancelled as I would have had a strong team out and was hoping to look at a couple of fringe players in a no-pressure match.

"We’re in round four now and hopefully we’ll get a home draw but we know it’s getting to the stage of the competition where we might be reaching the end of our shelf life.

"We’ll go to Beccehamian still confident against a team who are similar to us. There aren’t any teams in our league who are better than us, the others have just had the mental attitude right early on.

"The boys know they can do it and it will take a good side to beat us now. They’ve got the self belief and the right attitude."
