A swimming pool was closed after a tree fell into the building.
Sheppey Leisure Complex, in Sheerness, had to shut its lanes around 11.20am yesterday (October 23).
Pictures showed how the tree-damaged part of the guttering.
The pool was closed for the rest of the day, but the gym and classes remained open as normal.
The centre said: “In the interest of safety, our swimming pool has been closed while the relevant authorities deal with a fallen tree.
“Please avoid the end of Royal Road and the path running alongside the pool while the situation is managed.
“Thanks for your patience - we’ll let you know as soon as it’s safe to reopen the pool.”
Just after 2.30pm it posted an update saying tree surgeons had arrived and the tree would be cleared by the end of yesterday.
It said: “ A structural survey will take place first thing tomorrow. Until the building is deemed safe, the pool and health studio will remain closed.
“We hope to provide an update on reopening by tomorrow afternoon.”
Just after 10.45am today, the Complex said a structural assessment cleared the building for reopening.
It came as Kent was battered by Storm Benjamin, which caused traffic chaos.
A flood alert and two weather warnings for rain and wind are in place for Kent today.
The Met Office has put out yellow alerts for the whole of the county, and also for London and Essex.
