A swimming pool has temporarily closed after an air ambulance landed nearby.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance landed behind Sheerness Swimming Pool, off Sheerness Broadway, this afternoon.
A police spokesman said the helicopter was called to a "medical incident".
It had happened outside the row of shops in the Broadway, where one ambulance, two critical care cars and a police car were seen at about 1pm.
Shortly before 2pm, Sheppey Leisure Complex – of which the pool is part of – shared a post on Facebook to say its pool would be closed temporarily as a result.
A spokesman said: "Our pool is closed while we tend to the aftercare of our team members that were involved in administering first aid CPR at an incident that happened in the town today.
"The pool will remain closed till at least 4pm and we will provide a further update if this changes.
"Thank you for your understanding."
The South East Coast Ambulance Service has been contacted for further information.
