Sheerness teen offers flowers to Tesco cashier who had been verbally abused

A proud grandad has paid tribute to his granddaughter who supported a Sheerness Tesco cashier after she was verbally abused by a customer.

The customer was aggressively complaining about the lack of stock, which made the staff member visibly upset.

As a result, Maisie decided to act and went to the flowers section and grabbed a bunch before returning to the same till to pay for them.

Maisie then gave the flowers to the lady to cheer her up after the angry customer had left the store.

Grandad Les said: "We hope people realise it’s not the front-line staff who cause the stocks problems, it’s the selfish customers who have no thoughts for others.

"As for our granddaughter, we are so proud."
