A train has been damaged and a service has been suspended after a “disturbance” on board.
The line running between Sittingbourne and Sheerness has been out of action.
At 4.26pm, Southeastern warned customers on its social media page to expect delays.
It said: “Because of passengers causing a disturbance on the train at Queenborough.
“Trains are currently unable to run between Sittingbourne and Sheerness.”
Around 20 minutes later, the rail company confirmed that the train would have to be taken out of service due to the damage caused by the incident.
A replacement bus has been scheduled to run while they find another train to use from a depot.
In an update at 5.17pm, Southeastern told passengers that the Sheerness line had been suspended and a replacement train is on the way to Sittingbourne.
The first trains to run will be the 8.33pm from Sittingbourne and the 8.57pm from Sheerness.
