Sheerness trains back to normal after burst water main at Kemsley

A full train service has resumed after a burst water main caused travel problems.

South Eastern said trains on the Sheerness line were running normally after yesterday's services were disrupted because of a burst water main that flooded the track at Kemsley.

The sudden flood happened at around 4.25pm yesterday afternoon, and although the track itself was not damaged there was concern about the effect on signalling boxes and trains were stopped and replaced with a shuttle bus.
