Sheerness woman 'bites ex-boyfriend' in row over chicken nuggets

A woman accused of biting her ex-boyfriend's nose and scratching her sister's face during an argument over chicken nuggets has appeared in court.

The alleged offences happened at a child's birthday party in March.

Kierra Down, of Maple Street, Sheerness, claimed self defence and pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault by beating as she stood before Magistrates in Maidstone yesterday.

The 19-year-old will stand trial in July.

She has been released on bail and ordered not to contact her ex and not to visit his or her sister's homes.
