A woman from Sheerness died after being found unconscious in a cold field, an inquest has heard.
Salley McCombie, of Rosemary Avenue, passed away at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford after she was discovered unresponsive on land off Rough Common in Canterbury, on May 29.
An inquest opening at Maidstone’s Archbishop’s Palace heard the 58-year-old, who was born in London, was put into palliative care at the hospital days before she passed away.
Ms McCombie was married and worked as a manager for her husband.
Assistant coroner, Ian Brownhill, explained she was found in the field in a hypothermic state.
He gave her cause of death as acute liver injury as a result of an overdose of painkillers.
The inquest was adjourned until February 5, to be heard at County Hall in Maidstone.
